What do I need to know about being a Legend?
Regarding Items
(Loot Distribution)
Loot distribution is overseen by the Loot
Fairness Council (LFC).
DKP is accumulated via on time credit, hourly credits, boss kills, all night bonus and
occasionally a raid leader bonus. If you are not there at the taking of the raid credit hour
you will not receive credit. There is no partial credit taken. If you are missed in the log
due to issues such as death/rez,
non-substantial LD, you can receive the credit for that hour. Logs are usually taken very
close to the posted raid time (usually after buffs and pulls are inc). Raid credit may be
deducted for excessive AFK, being late to
the raid or making a mistake that impacts the raid (lack of pet control, not listening to
raid instructions, training the raid if invis
drops).
Regarding Conduct
Be courteous, polite and most of all be
nice when talking to other members and other people outside the guild. Cursing or swearing is
not allowed in guild chat. Yes it slips out on occasion. If you wish to swear
regularly, keep it out of Guild Chat and raids. Keep it in tells. Remember that guild
mates make strong friends and there’s no better person to have in a group than someone you
can trust. Furthermore being helpful and friendly to others leaves a positive and lasting
impression on yourself and the guild.
Regarding Whining
Yes, whining happens in all guilds and its expected to be encountered in this guild too. Whining is not
tolerated. If you ask for help and no one within the guild can help you, do not take it out
on the guild and its members. Furthermore do not nag or harass the guild or any of its
members for items and help etc. Ask once only. If nobody can help you it is either they are
busy, helping other guild mates or are too far away to offer any assistance. Guild members
are always ready and willing to help you in any way they can but if its
a lot you’re asking for don’t complain when you don’t get what you expect.
Regarding Internal Disputes
Internal Disputes covers any qualms or arguments a guild
member has with another guild member. It is not expected that everyone get along with each
other but if you’re going to be in the same guild you should at least try. To some, the
eventuality may not always be positive and a dispute may arise between members. We do not
tolerate the "kick him out or I'll leave" attitude. If a member so much as offers
this argument to any officer, do not be surprised if he/she is kicked out on the spot. We
will not kick out any member for you without good reason, and especially when it comes to
internal disputes we'd rather try to settle it rather than make any harsh decisions. If the
members cannot resolve the issue themselves, then the proper thing to do would be to contact
2 or more officers within the guild and to let them hear both sides of the story. The
officers will then make a binding arbitration that should be followed to resolve the
issue. Personal issues, comments, and general drama do not belong in Guild Chat, Raid
Channel, or other general guild channels. Take it to tells.
We don’t expect everyone to love one another, but if you’re problems carry over to the guild
then do not be surprised if you are punished (whether it be
warnings, raid credit docking, or even Guild Removal for extreme issues for repeated
issues.) Nobody likes to be punished in a game, however we
are an organization and need to maintain order. Everyone wants to have fun.
Being ignorant and rude to people is not fun or acceptable. This goes for members and
officers alike.
Regarding Power
leveling
We are not against power leveling but do
not feel obligated to expect the guild to power level you at your convenience. We are made up
of people whose time is as valuable as yours. Power leveling is dependent on the person
willing to power level you.
If a member of the guild does not wish
to do so there is nothing more to be said or done. Simply move along and find someone else or
some other way to level (the camp-a-dungeon-till-u-get-experience usually works). Do not
harass any member to power level you this will not be tolerated
Regarding Anonymous and
Roleplay
For guild purposes, /anon is not
allowed. We understand that certain classes may suffer from buff abuse so and for this reason
/roleplay is allowed. The difference between roleplay and anon is simply the showing of the guild
tag. We feel that if you are in the guild the least you could do is wear your guild tag
proudly.
